Welcome to my Blog all about Petunia

Petunia is my 1962 Vintage Kencraft travel trailer, I bought about 1 year ago. I am absolutely head over heals in love with this little gem and I have become obsessed with all things "Vintage". When I bought her, I had no idea that vintage trailers were all the rage at the moment and neither did the people I bought her from. I felt like I had won the lottery. I immediately embarked on a journey to find out any and all information about restoring them and now find myself in the exclusive club that is Vintage trailer owners. I can't wait to share with you my adventures in her and all the treasures I have found to decorate and bling her out and fix her up. I know she needs a paint job desperately (not to mention a few additional things) and I am working out exterior paint design and colors. The tan stripe is not original. I've scrapped some of the paint off and it appears that the original might have been yellow. Not sure if I will go back to that, or paint it pink.. I promised my husband that I wouldn't make her too "girly" but sadly..it's happening. I just can't help myself. So welcome to my blog. I am new to this whole blogging world, so please bear with me. I'm learning as I go. I welcome feedback and input for sure. I look forward to meeting you and making many new blogging, vintage trailer, friends. - Happy Glamping!

Petunia has some new treasures!

Aren't these the cutest? I found the Rolling pin the other day, at a local Antique store. I feel like I found the jackpot, because the man running the store that day told me about a local woman who owns a vintage trailer. She comes to his store weekly and buys up any "Pink" vintage items for her trailer. He said that the rolling pin had just arrived and it was my lucky day! Ha. She's probably the one bidding against me on Ebay all the time.

  1. Adorable! But are you going to be baking in Petunia?!!! tee hee

  2. Have you found the Glamping group on FB? My friend 'jAne' on my blog sidebar lead me to the group and they are trying to plan a little glamping weekend in Autumn somewhere nearby...possibly Coloma. I'll keep you posted.

  3. Kerrie, probably not too much "baking" going one, however this rolling pin was just too cute I couldn't resist. When I set her up and show her off, it will be used as a prop more than likely. I do use the hand mixer though. It's perfect for whipping up eggs for breakfast.

I haven't found the FB Glamping group yet. I will have to search. Any Idea what the name is? I would absolutely love to "glamp" with other trailer owners. Just keep me posted. Blessings

  4. hi, mrsB. :o) i'm jAne and will most certainly be planning an autumn meetup. looking at coloma as well as a few other areas. when final plans are made i'll be sure to post it on my edelweiss-haus blog. :o) excited to meet more glamping gals. soon!

  5. Well Hello jAne! So nice to make your acquaintance. I've been peeking at your bog for a while now (it's lovely)and I always enjoy meeting new "glamping gals" too. I would love to try and make it to Coloma or anywhere else close by. I live on the Central Coast (Paso Robles). Blessings to you...
